Make sure to time the sunset (or sunrise) and be there half an hour before to get the blue sky

Yes, that blue sky just following sunset is one I'm just dying to shoot! What lens/es did you carry with you over there? I'll be visiting Paris, Brittany and Brussels. I'm working with a Canon 7d, an f/4.5 100-400mm IS L and f/2.8 24-70mm IS L lenses. I have a tripod and monopod. Any advice? Thanks.

I used a Nikon D700. Is a full frame camera so it allows me to shoot without a tripod. I used a 24-85 mm lens 2.8-4, the only lens I brought with me. I think your 24-70 should be enough for most situations although if it's like the Nikon it probably weights a ton. Just remember the more equipment we carry the less pictures we take. Have fun, looking forward to seeing some of the spots you share with all of us

This spot is located: I'm standing behind the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. This exact spot is on the Pont deL'Archeveche which connects Quai de la Tournelle on the 5th Arrondissement, to the Quai de Montebello on the Île de la Cité on the 4th Arrondissement, on the left bank of the Seine River.
How to get to this spot: Take the Métro to the Maubert-Mutualité subway station. Then walk east on Boulevard St. Germain to Rue des Bernardins, make a left and walk one block to the River, you will find the bridge across the street (Quai de Montebello)
Access to this spot is: Free, easy.
Best time to go to this spot is: I love the view at night or at sunset.
Insiders Tip: 1-At night you will need a tripod to get the light right. 2-The bridge commonly seen in the background of the set on Highlander when the show was set in Paris.
